Trevor-Roper graduated from Christ Church College, Oxford, in 1936, and in 1939, as a Hugh Trevor-Roper wrote much more than he published. Since his death in 2003 there have been five posthumous books by him: Letters from Oxford. Hugh Trevor-Roper to Bernard Berenson, edited by Richard Davenport-Hines (Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 2006; paperback 2007). The letters to Berenson cover the years 1947 to 1959.
